We're so close to the full reveal and giveaway!

So today for you lucky [...maybe...] readers I have both a sneak peek AND a failed sewing room decor craft project. Along with the additional giveaway item, of course.

First things first: the terrible-horrible-no-good-very-bad-day project.

I'm sure you've seen the project on Pinterest where you punch holes in canvas and then put Christmas lights in the holes; the project is originally from Apartment Therapy [erm, sort of, they found it somewhere themselves]. I think that looks super cool, but wanted to spice it up a little for the sewing room. Spice was not my friend in this instance. I'm not sure if I'm just not good at deciding an arrangement for the lights or what. Also, if I were to do this again [because I do think the idea has great potential] then I'd just stretch the fabric over a frame after cutting the holes in it. I stretched the fabric over the canvas and therefore I have some bubbling issues. There are more lights for me to put in, but I gave up after a single grouping.

And now on to happier things: the design wall.

It's a small design wall, but at least I can keep it up there permanently. My quilt rack from the Salvation Army sits under it and provides some happy color to the room. As you can see, the room's light source is to the right, so I'll have to figure out how to more accurately take pictures.

And finally for today's giveaway contribution: charm squares!

I have a plethora of these from various projects. These are just the ones I have left from Kelly's simple patchwork quilt, but there are more. I just have to find which box they are in...[so I will add those once I find them].
